A Bit About Me
I am a board‑certified pediatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner rooted in Clarkston, Michigan. My academic foundation includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Valley State University (2019), a post‑doctorate certificate in family practice from the University of Cincinnati (2024), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ferris State University. I maintain licensure and certification through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as well as active certification as an Intuitive Eating Counselor.
Outside of my work for Rooted Health Collective, I serve at a Pediatric Neurology clinic, collaborating with neurosurgery, neuropsychology and genetics specialists to manage neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy and related conditions. My previous experience spans adolescent medicine, where I focused on eating‑disorder treatment, and holistic pediatric care at McLaren Health Care, where I led a quality‑improvement project on COVID‑19’s mental‑health impact on rural children.
Research and education remain central to my practice. I have spearheaded initiatives to improve rural pediatric care, enhance insulin pen safety and refine developmental assessments for premature infants. My teaching work includes instructing nursing students in simulation labs and leading community programs on eating‑disorder prevention.
Grounded in evidence‑based practice and dedicated to service, I volunteer with community health initiatives—ranging from free blood pressure screenings to mission work in Haiti. These experiences keep me rooted in the values of compassion, collaboration and a commitment to advancing health for persons of all ages.
Work Experience

Corewell Health
Hough Center for Adolescent Medicine
2020-2024
I deliver specialized care within a general pediatric neurology practice, managing conditions such as neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy, migraines and sleep disturbances. This role requires close collaboration with neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists and geneticists, and includes designated clinic days for neurodevelopmental disorders and neurofibromatosis. My practice also encompasses inpatient rounding on the electroencephalography monitoring unit and the broader inpatient neurology service.
I served as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in a subspecialty clinic focused on eating disorders, delivering both inpatient and outpatient care to adolescents across metro Detroit. My role encompassed comprehensive patient management with an emphasis on nutritional rehabilitation, prevention of refeeding syndrome and hypophosphatemia, and oversight of psychiatric medication therapy.
McLaren Health Thumb Region
Pediatric Primary Care
I served as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner responsible for comprehensive patient care—including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and consultation—in an outpatient setting. I managed patients both independently and collaboratively with other healthcare providers, ordering necessary laboratory tests, imaging studies and prescriptions. During this tenure, I also initiated a quality‑improvement project aimed at evaluating and addressing the mental‑health impact of COVID‑19 on children in rural communities.
